Turns out i have been gaslit by my server provider and paying 20€ for 8GB RAM/160GB SSD is neither normal nor good

So I'm in the process of moving things to the new server and since my old server was a mess of different services running along each other i wanted to make things simple by having everything in Docker containers. Now I have a mess of different Docker services running behind an incomprehensible arcane nginx reverse proxy configuration

I lied gitlab doesn't do shit because it won't connect to the mailcow smtp server

Neither will Nextcloud, so we're down to "I can't get smtp connections out of containers". Not that this gives me any clues

The one thing that dissuaded me from this setup was realizing the potential headache of “some major security flaw in a library has been detected and now you have seventy-five Docker images to update because they all have their own copy of it”
