Lifetime personal milestone achieved!
Got time at the controls of MUNI 178, a lovely "Iron Monster" built around 1912. The controls were simple, but the finesse required to operate buttery smooth will definitely take time to master. I like this kind of challenge.
Joined the museum as a full member, and then yesterday was Member appreciation day, where this was one of the festivities.
I think this is totally something you'd enjoy doing. Thanks for the glad tidings!
That's awesome. There's a trolley museum in Connecticut where I got to ride one and you can even drive one if you want, it seems like it would be fun to do someday
came here to reccomend the trolley museum in Shelburne Falls, MA, not realizing there is a completely separate trolley museum in neighboring CT as well lol
I'm putting both down on my "need to visit" list for next time I'm in the NEC.
It really is a hidden gem of a Museum. Always worth going & returning to.
