they're letting paid blue subscribers continue to use it, which makes it extra clear that this is a cost-cutting thing, but the kind of idiot who pays for blue is also the kind of idiot who would prefer sms 2fa over otp because they can't figure out how to work an authenticator app
the blue checkmark is soon going to strongly indicate an easier target for hacking
I haven’t mentioned the Blue exception on any of the three sites I’ve shared this warning on because I assume not a single person who follows me would seriously consider Blue at this point 😂
i agree, i just think it's funny that they're continuing to find new ways to turn the checkmark into a "kick me" sign
