my fort of 60 dwarves was crawling at like 20 fps despite me doing every single design workaround to maintain good frame rate i’ve seen, including embarking in a barren wasteland and using ramps instead of stairs, blocking LOS, etc.
Anyway it turns out there were 1000 or so bat men in a cave tree and typing EXTERMINATE BAT_MAN shot my fps back up to 100
