I know I’m not the greatest pixel artist in the world, but I do think they all look reasonably distinct? aside from the fact that two of them are rather obligated to wear the same outfit

Ah, of course - I assumed your previous pixel screenshot was mocked up in a paint program, but using the actual Maker makes just as much sense.

I’m making a cutscene with renpy. The backgrounds are assembled in Tiled and exported as a flat image, since I don’t need collision or anything like that

Tattari is a Finnish surname (it means "buckwheat"). Kalsamo also sounds a lot like a Finnish surname but no one seems to have it.

there are magical-Finnish characters in this story but most of the names come from Armenian or Tocharian. Kalsamo comes from the Tocharian word for endurance
