On the Dreamcast, the outer tracks read data faster than the inner tracks. But the layout tool always filled from the inside (why?). So you had to add a bunch of padding files to move the real files to the outside. Initially I used random... uh... images. That might not have been safe for work. Or indeed cert. But later I replaced them with WAV files from whatever CDs I was listening to at the time. I don't remember exactly what, but yeah - that's how random banging choonz get in the strangest places.
