In the French version of the game, the Evermean ennemies are called Tronc-Peur, from tronc (tree trunk) and peur (fear), and it’s pronounced exactly like trompeur (deceptive). It’s a great pun and it describes the enemy very well!
I continue to not grasp French orthography in the least but yes good pun
