(torn between this and insectoeuf, but I think having the entire "insecte" word in there is the better choice)

jan pinkie a!
sina li toki: "pipi pi sike mama" taso, lon ala a!
sina o lawa ni: "pipi sike"
toki wan li toki ni: "bug of round origin"
toki tu li toki ni: "round bug"
pona anu seme? :3
egg = sike mama = round thing of origins
egg bug = pipi pi sike mama
'pipi sike' definitely communicates 'round' but i feel like it doesn't adequately communicate 'egg'
(mi wile pona e ni: mi jan ala, mi soweli Pinki)
(soweli Pinki a! pona :3 mi li jan anu kala anu soweli. Losupaku)
tenpo pini la sina li pali e lawa pona. 「pipi sike」li toki lili. 「pipi pi sike mama」li toki suli. tu li pona a
oh this one's good....plays off the fact that b and v sound identical in spanish
to do this for vietnamese (which i can somewhat speak still) one runs into the issue where you have to decide if they're an egg shaped bug ( con bọ trứng ) or bug shaped egg ( quả trứng bọ, although that would probably translate as ’bug eggs’)
нас-яйк-омое (яйко is ukrainian rather than russian, but mutually intelligible with russian all the same)
if cohost was around in 2014 there would surely be a post of yatseniuk edited like eggbug titled арсеній яйцежук
In Danish it would be "Æggeinsekt". æg(egg)ge(a sound used to link specifically the word egg to other words, simply because it sounds wrong without it)insekt(insect).
🇮🇹
literally? insettuovo. however, I hate that. eggbug is punchy and insettuovo has all the punch of wet toilet paper.
we don't know much about the eggbug, but we do know it is a winged bug. there's a lot of winged bugs: mostly, mosquitoes (zanzare), wasps (vespe), flies (mosche), horseflies (tafani), moths (tarme). I'd say eggbug is kinda like a big fly — and moscone is already a word in Italian for a big fly. so moscuovo is a little better for me as a translation. not great, but better
En català, de forma graciosa, ousecte. Si seguim com s'anomenen els insectes com aquests a la vida real, doncs probablement simplement bestiola ou o insecte ou.
