if you were a random single-appearance NPC in a jrpg who would you be?

I'd be the person in a town who inexplicably does a little dance when you talk to them, expressed by very limited movements of the sprite and a little tune playing.

and i say something really basic about the world like "many people use horses to travel between towns".

So I found an old CD of Zoo Tycoon 2 and while rummaging through some bins at home and I want to play it. I borrowed a CD player from my office to play it but I want to keep playing. What is the safest way to make it so that I can play Zoo Tycoon 2 without having to borrow a CD player every time? I don’t want to risk getting fired.
