The "we can post nudes so we should all just go back to tumblr" kind of rubs me the wrong way. Like I get that it's an important thing to a lot of people but it feels like a very casual dismissal of ace people (especially sex-repulsed ace people). Which is a frustratingly common theme in a lot of queer spaces that I'm probably never going to stop complaining about. I assume tumblr has muting and blocking features so I could probably filter all the sex and stuff out but the "going to tumblr for nudes" still bothers me. Maybe I'm just too ace for queer spaces which is probably true but it shouldn't be true.
It's just the pattern of ignoring and talking over specifically sex & romance repulsed aros and aces that happens all over queer spaces that I find really, really frustrating and this is really just another example of that which continues to be frustrating
