At the end of May, we held a fundraiser for National Cancer Society Malaysia. We did this in honor of one of our voice actors in Rhythm Doctor, Jyi Sim, who passed away peacefully after a long battle with lymphoma.
This loss was devastating, and we knew we wanted to raise funds for an organization of the family's choosing after the mourning period. You can find more information on Jyi's life and our fundraiser on the initial announcement post.
We were honored to see the outpouring of support we received across our platforms. Not only did many of you send us very thoughtful condolences, but also talked about what Rhythm Doctor and Jyi's contributions (playing the Nurse who assists in counting and cueing) meant for you.
Players also made our fundraiser a huge success. We sold a whopping 1,362 copies of Rhythm Doctor during the short period. Now that we've received the money from Valve, we'll be donating RM37,800 (approx. 8,200 USD, the amount we made after Valve's cut, taxes, and fees were taken) to National Cancer Society Malaysia in Jyi's honor.
Thank you all so, so much for your support in this effort. Even though the fundraiser's over, there's no wrong time to check out NCSM or your own local organization fighting against cancer.
