I guess this is goodbye to Cohost. It's a shame, because this was a really handy place for hosting announcements and devlogs and such where people could easily Share them.

We haven't planned yet where we want to pivot to, but you can follow us on Twitter (RD and ADOFAI), Instagram, or follow announcements from our official Discord server.

Maybe it's time to get on Threads or Bluesky...

Anyway, for one last time, here's our most recent news:

First of all, thanks to everyone who came by the IGF Pavilion during GDC to play Rhythm Doctor and talk to us! We had a great time. There was an almost unbelievable amount of people who came by to tell us how they were already fans of our work, which was really kind of them. We hope everyone who got a chance to try the game for the first time had fun!

Second, we won an IGF Award! We won the award for Excellence in Audio, which was an honor and a big surprise. You can read the speech given by our lead designer Hafiz over here.

We can't speak highly enough of the other Audio finalists, who all have great games with incredible soundtracks and sound design. Definitely check them out if you haven't seen them already:

Last but not least, Rhythm Doctor's third anniversary (of Early Access) has come and gone! We held another character popularity poll, and the results are in...

Paige celebrating with a large first place trophy, Lucky celebrating with a silver second place medal, and Cole celebrating with a tiny bronze trophy.

Paige has gotten first place yet again (can anyone stop her???), but it was exciting to see newcomer Lucky rocket up all the way to second place. We'll hold another popularity poll next year.

Thanks for reading, and thanks for playing!

Our first major story update for Rhythm Doctor, the Act 5 Update, will be releasing on October 21st, 2023!

This update picks the story up right where it left off: you've returned from your train trip, you've saved the Insomniac from Connectifia Abortus, and you've established yourself as an integral member of the Middlesea Hospital team. The update will add a new ward to the hospital with a new patient, a new type of heartbeat, and of course a new set of levels.

We had been hoping to release it at the end of September, but in the hopes of making sure we can include all our ideas without overworking ourselves, we've decided on October 21st.

This is a completely free update, as part of our Early Access.

We've been working on this for a while, so we're excited to show you what we've been cooking.

Rhythm Doctor is currently on Steam

New update for A Dance of Fire and Ice on iOS and Google Play!

☁️ Cloud Saves

This feature saves your progress automatically in the cloud, so you can keep your progress between different devices or upon reinstalling the game. It requires an internet connection and is only able to sync on the same platform (from iOS device to another iOS device, or from Android device to another Android device).

🏆 Achievements

We've brought the same achievements from the Steam version of the game over to the mobile versions. On iOS, this uses Game Center. On Android, this uses Play Game Services. You can also restore progress using achievements.

More patch notes below.
