the next episode of quick start will cause at least fifty firmware developers to die. i can't wait to release it

“In your darkest hour, in the blackest night... think of me... and I will be with you. Always. For where else could I go? Who else could I love but you?”
Once, there was a link here. Now it is a memory. A memory of laughter and hope. A memory of good times. A memory that shall not be forgotten.
Stand tall, my friends. For our journeys shall never end.

And this is after the brain slug and horrible x86 memory tricks.
Dear gods, man, you can hype a thing.
Considering the wild stuff we've seen already this is incredibly exciting to hear
Now I want to see a quick start running in Intel Managment Engine. Or better yet pull the janky shit Broadcom does and run it in the IGP
Here is a tiny linux distro, running entirely on a 6th gen I7's embedded 80486 Management core. #LinuxIsJustGnuMinix
The first thing I think of is some sort of FPGA embedded into a chip (that's used for firmware). But I don't think that's insane enough for whatever solution you're hinting at.
The close comments make me think its the AMD managment core or misusing a less integrated BMC. A smart NIC might also be coaxed into that job but those are too new, too big, and too expensive for a laptop.
The comments about suicidal firmware engineers make me think some kind of alt ISA mode on a Transmeta core runming alongside the main x86 one (A new processor crime that I also want to exist)
I'm still waiting to learn more about VideACE® InstantVidget™ Sponsored by Boingo® Wi-Fi.
