Let's give them one last hurrah.

  • She/Her

“In your darkest hour, in the blackest night... think of me... and I will be with you. Always. For where else could I go? Who else could I love but you?”

Once, there was a link here. Now it is a memory. A memory of laughter and hope. A memory of good times. A memory that shall not be forgotten.

Stand tall, my friends. For our journeys shall never end.

Like… he rarely seems to do much active evil, he just makes sure good things don't happen

(context this time is that on top of the earlier news about him vetoing protections against caste discrimination and decriminalizing psychedelics, he now also vetoed free condoms for students)

They want to use generative AI to help them make fiscal decisions:

Today, the Governor announces the first step in the process to potentially adopt GenAI to address the following issues identified by state agencies:

  • Supporting the state budget by helping state budget analysts with faster and more efficient policy, fiscal analyses across state programs, and policies to spotlight shared needs and statewide opportunities for more efficient and effective deployment of the state’s budget resources.

This is explicitly disallowed under the terms of use of most commercial AI for very obvious reasons. For example, OpenAI’s policy says:

Don’t perform or facilitate the following activities that may significantly affect the safety, wellbeing, or rights of others, including:

  • Making automated decisions in domains that affect an individual’s rights or well-being (e.g., law enforcement, migration, management of critical infrastructure, safety components of products, essential services, credit, employment, housing, education, social scoring, or insurance)
