I actually did my research as an undergrad on galaxy clusters! I can give you lots of fun space facts if you want especially about galaxies and galaxy clusters
OH that's super cool. My current research is pulsars but I want to pivot to large scale structures eventually
I dont do astrophysics research anymore in grad school, switched to biophysics for an assortment of reasons but namely because astrophysics programs are hard as fuck to get into lol but my goal is to get back into astrophysics when I graduate or maybe even see if I can switch back while in grad school.
Pulsars are super cool I remember reading about how some scientists are trying to see if they can be used as giant gravitational wave detectors. I'd love to hear about your research some time!
LMAO that's my current project, i'm in NANOGrav and that's exactly what we're trying to do. I mostly do pulsar timing stuff, though we have a paper in review right now regarding a statistical analysis of Crab pulsar giant pulses
I guess I'm psychic lol that's super cool and exciting tho wow I think I met someone else working on that project too. He gave a presentation at my school but I don't remember his name I'll have to look it up
I love gravitational waves, I didnt do lss I think gravitational waves would be my next top choice for research
