my friend, who has an MSc in physics specializing in space weather, showed me a website called aurorasaurus.org where you can upload pictures of the aurora for scientists to analyze so we can all learn more about space physics and space weather. it's a really easy way to contribute to a really cool field and i would really recommend doing it if you took some good pictures!!
