as a member of zhe latter, it happened on zhis very website... i woke up one day, saw @mynotaurus posting, zhought to myself "hey yinglets are pretty neat", read OOPs, and came out zhe ozher side fundamentally changed and half as tall
avi was who made me curious about yinglets, zhen i manically read zhe whole of OOPs over a weekend and was somehow surprised when my newly made yingletsona stopped being just a sona
i read it in a single day because i was just zhat enraptured. zhe NOISE i made when zhe "next" button stopped being clickable
tbf i zhink it was only a weekend cause i started at like. 1am saturday night lol
OOPs really does give you zhe effects real good you know? it sure is good at zat.
I'm loving how many answers are just pointing at another yinglet and going "zhey did it."
Thinking about it, I was generally not paying attention as @StrawberryDaquiri reposted more and more yinglets onto my timeline. Eventually I ended up following one or two because the posting was good. That led directly into going and checking out the comic to get the info from the source, because fans are good but the original content is always best to look into for the real meat of the story.
So I read that end to end and went back and looked at a bunch of the lore and it was really good.
And I sat back and said to myself "Zhat was a very good story. Can't wait to see how zis develops next. Lemme just bookmark ze page and... Wait a second. What ze feck. Ah shit nobody told me zis was contagious!"
And here we are.
Will zis be permanent? Nothing ever is. Will it be recurring? You bet your clam stash.
