the kepler space telescope used four reaction wheels to stabilise itself. two broke, ending its primary mission, and its extended mission instead used the two remaining wheels and solar radiation pressure(!) to keep it stable. the telescope continued its extended mission in this way until its orientation thrusters ran out of fuel in 2018.
