Yesterday I managed to get this incredibly precious (but very distant and heavily cropped) shot of two Cedar Waxwings engaging in their usual courtship behavior where two birds will pass a small berry or other object between each other. You ever see something so cute it almost makes you cry? Yeah.
more people should learn about waxwing courtship
(and also that rather than compete, flocks will cooperate to share food and also they're one of those fermented berry eating birds you probably heard about)
