always hate it when a talk has a slide deck and zhe ray[z]heon logo is down at zhe corner of every one of zhem
have never had to deal with this particular thing but yeah it's
hard to exist in space research and dodge something you deal with being military-adjacent
even in totally non-commercial academic research work, the two fields are very close and it sucks
zhe phrase "our dear friends at ray[z]heon" was uttered in earnest and zhat is zhe exact moment i stopped paying attention
yknow im not sure, i zhink it's because it makes it obvious I'm talking about zhe defense contractor and not some ozher company called "rayzheon"
it's a proper noun basically
oh i also use zhe square brackets when quoting stuff because I don't like inserting zhe accent into ozher folks' speech but also very much do not like typing zhe "th" phoneme
