So I'm considering alterning the sound system of my homebrew 8bit KITTY computer. But I'm kinda unsure of what would be the more interesting approach to take?
so i guess i was wondering if anyone here had any thoughts on these potential options:

Please vote:

16x256 resolution wavetables, 16 possible waves from a predefined unchangeable ROM, mono volume
8x1 resolution "wavetables", each defined by single byte, stereo volume
Keep it as it is (plain square waves), stereo volume, cheapest design
see results

For reference there are 3 melodic channels + 1 noise/fx/percussion channel.
