A ritual knife made of abalone, nearly a foot in length and shimmering with color. It was crafted by the disciples of a deity of the deep ocean, who used it to divine the future while preparing temple meals; they used it as a blade to descale the fish, and read omens in their fall. It has been pressed into use in other ways, since the deity's demise in an early struggle, but it retains its beauty, its keen edge, and its gift for carving omens from whatever it cuts.
