A fishing net, into which the spilled blood of a god of the moon has soaked. It can call the tide, causing the waters to rise around it, bearing confused fish along for easy fishing. It can also be used to net a portion of time, stilling the passage of the night and holding it still, or pulling it away to hasten the dawn's arrival. Occasional use of the latter is harmless - the flow of the day evens out quickly enough. Consistent use can leave the area where it happens increasingly disjointed from time's natural order, however, and areas of eternal night pock the world here and there as a result.
