These men did a lot of damage not just to Boeing but across the American industrial sector and American society as a whole. Where’s has our humanity gone?
I specifically cited this study on chicken breeding in my undergrad (as a business major) for why we shouldn't do stack ranking or any sort of individual competition in the workplace
tl;dr they tried to breed chickens to produce more eggs by breeding the most productive chicken in each cage. Egg production nosedived. It turns out that the most productive individuals were the ones who bullied others into being less productive.
