About the speech jumbling, maybe headphones/earbuds that play back to you everything you say with a slight delay?
Okay funny story: I messed around with that a lot as a kid, to the point of developing a bit of a resistance to that effect, at least when I was a kid, havent tried in many years (if you cup your hands right and put them over your mouth and 1 ear, you can get a similar effect without technology). But also, it is similar, yeah.
so sorry but my immediate thought was "the easiest way to get a speech jumbling curse in real life is to have a stroke" 💀
