At least once a year I get the urge to play all the Metal Gear Solid games and at this point, I think it has become a hideous compulsion.
I just like my dumbass soldier dudes running around talking about political shit that is uncomfortably close to real-world political shit, if real-world political shit had nanomachines, bisexual vampire men, Russian cowboys, and giant nuclear-equipped walking battletanks code named Metal Gear.
I also happen to think that Metal Gear Solid V might be one of the best video games ever created, even though it shits the bed in the final act so hard that the vibrations can be detected by even the most outdated seismic equipment. You can see the end of Metal Gear Solid V shitting the bed from outer space, or at the very least low-earth orbit.
This is also probably why I take so fucking long to finish new video games - I keep getting distracted by the urge to play all the games in the Metal Gear Solid series. I wish I was kidding when I said I perpetually have multiple saves of multiple versions of each game going (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox, Vita - I even came dangerously close to buying the 3DS version of MGS3 but somehow managed to come to my senses before it was too late). If Konami released them on Stadia, I'd buy them! It's a sickness! I just wanna be able to play them shits at the drop of a hat! Konami should be re-releasing those games every five fucking seconds, honestly! It is bananas to me that you still can only play MGS4 on the PS3 or streamed from some Sony server set up to be a PS3 paying for their abysmal streaming service. It's a goddamn travesty is what it is.
