I'm doin' my best, but all I got is 3 nuggies and a lot of stress & anxiety.

Red Mage FFXIV is the funniest shit of all time. It's the Oreo of MMO jobs. They created a perfect job, nailed it in one, but because MMOs require constant new abilities for every job, they just keep having to add pointless upgrades to every ability and new finishers to your Enchanted melee combo because those are the only places you can actually add new stuff without it destroying the entire fucking thing

summoner ran into the same problem but it's not because it's the perfect job, it's actually a boring piece of shit that's the mmo equivalent of dead air. but there's just nothing they can do to fix it because there's just literally no design space to iterate on and changing anything now would destroy the entire flow of the job and that flow is literally the only thing it has anymore

this is why black mage is the best job because they ran into the Oreo problem but instead of deciding to chill out and accept that they done did the good job that everyone likes, they decided to do some crazy bullshit and now its UI looks like this and i truly and unironically adore this fucking nightmare

Maybe its time I get over my completely pointless grudge to never play BLM, and actually give it a shot. This looks like a fucking mess and I want all of it in my body immediately.

They made the perfect cookie but yet capitalism demands New Products To Happen so instead they're making like. Spicy Cinnamon Oreos and Sour Patch Kids Oreos because they have to do fucking SOMETHING to justify their company's continued existence

Dancer has a similar problem. The core loop feels good in play, so the only way it gets improved is to give it more alpha strike moves that you have to squeeze into an increasingly tight window of time at the tail of your rotation where both your powerful damage buffs are active.
