Decided to stay up for a little bit longer because I felt stubborn and wanted another few attempts at a boss in Undertale Yellow
Fuck this game
You gotta fuck up BAD for me to feel as passionately about hating a fight as this. Like I'm an optimist for boss fights, I like more fights than I dislike. I'm someone who likes most fights in Elden Ring, especially the final boss which I know most people hate. I'm someone who likes most fights in ffxiv, even ones with really obvious flaws like TOP, a fight I do wish was different but still enjoyed executing because it was so tight on Scholar.
Last time I felt this strongly about disliking a boss was Alatreon in Iceborne. Even then I beat that out of sheer spite. This boss is nothing but a total waste of my time. All of Undertale's fights are fair, even That One, especially That One, he's one of my favorite boss fights ever. This fight isn't fair and I don't think it would be fun even if it was fair. The whole thing is flawed mechanically, I can't think of a single change I'd do to it to alchemize it into a fun fight, it needs to be remade from scratch. Failing grade. 0 marks. See me after class. It's a shame cause there are fights in this game I like, one I adore in fact, but this one makes me never want to boot up the game again.
