No, it's not on the App Store or Play Store. This is by design.

You know the thing where NSFW creators, models, artists, etc. ask for protections so that they can make a living and not be impacted by bullshit regulations? This is why. Cohost is a NSFW-friendly site meaning that if it had an App, it would have to abide by (literally only) Apple's rules. Apple hates porn and it does not want it on its app store. It's why Twitter has insane rules around hiding it and why Discord makes you toggle NSFW servers on Desktop manually. Remember when Tumblr banned porn and everyone left? It was almost entirely because of this. To avoid this happening here, there is no native app.

However, you can very easily add Cohost to your Home Screen like an app. Here's how!

iOS

Open cohost.org in Safari and click the Share button at the bottom. (It's the middle one.) In that list, click Add to Home Screen. That's it!

Now just log in, and you're set.

Android

For Chrome users, open cohost.org and tap the three dots/hamburger menu. (I don't know what it looks like, I'm not on Android sorry.) From there, select Add to Home Screen.

For Firefox users, open cohost.org, tap the hamburger menu and select "Install".

Now just log in, and you're set.

some things to keep in mind while you're here

• you'll have to cultivate your own timeline! so focus on following the people whose stuff you're interested in and bookmarking a couple varieties of tags for things you like and want to follow (or maybe user-created variety tags like #The Cohost Global Feed and its ilk for more random flavors of content). and conversely, block the people and silence posts and muffle tags you don't want to see around - don't be afraid!
• no one can snoop on your likes but you!! like all the weird smut or whatever you want, it's not gonna jumpscare anyone's feed or ruin an Algorithm or anything.
• try to leave your compulsion to Immediately And Indignantly React to everything at the door!! you don't need to have a Take on everything. it's hard to go against the impulse to Jump On Something and Be Right, but please try to catch yourself on this. try to act in good faith, alright?
• this site is run by, like, four people! there's literally like only four members of staff. they make decisions and maybe they aren't always gonna be firm or popular but don't overburden them, they're only human running a little imperfect interblag social media site. just... have a little empathy for administration here, ok? it's hard fucking work and even if they screw up on something or even take a little time to get to something, don't immediately assume the worst.
• you can say it! you can say it. it's ok. people won't get on your case for being a dyke or a fag or a tranny, so don't get on theirs, alright?
• have fun! be a little silly with it. praise eggbug. make some good posts. it's ok to be miserable about things but don't be consumed by the misery, there can still be something beautiful
