some years ago i decided that i wanted to finish collecting all the volumes of the first manga series i ever seriously tried to keep up with, Excel Saga. at the time i managed to get most of the series in good condition at decent prices... but it turned out that the second to last volume is apparently so rare that at the time secondhand copies went for almost $1k.

now this wouldn't be a problem if i were to, say, just pirate this second to last volume so i could finish reading the series, but last i checked apparently no one... actually bothered to put up any sort of pirated scans?

these days the specific volume i need is considerably less, closer to two hundo, and it's making me wonder if it'd be worth it to grab a copy and try to find some way to scan the book without damaging it so that anyone who might be interested in this series doesn't have to go through this sort of nonsense like i did. not like viz is printing any other copies anyway.
