Question of the Day!

Does your WoL/OC know how to drive a vehicle? Sure they can ride a chocobo or other live beasty- but can they pilot a Novus-D or an Airship? How good are they with that Magitek Reaper or Predator really?

Once you get past Aigead's characteristic recklessness, she's actually not half bad when it comes to operating actual vehicles thanks to her quick-to-adapt nature. On her offtime, you may find her messing with buttons to see what-does-what with varying results, but once she gets a feel for something you can generally trust her to handle it with care. Most of the time, at least.

Question of the Day!

Your WoL/OC is having a bad day. How do we cheer them up?

"Most of the time I can be cheered up just by being given something to occupy my brain with. When I'm upset I can get trapped in my own head and restless pretty easily, so things like riddles or puzzles can help mitigate that. I'm a bit of a problem solver by nature.

"Now, you come at me with an honest-to-goodness mystery, someone who's in some kind of trouble, then we're really talking. I get a riddle to occupy myself with and the satisfaction of helping someone out! And some kind of payment, ideally. Satisfaction is nice but it doesn't pay for new gear or repairs. I'm not above pro bono work but a bitch has to pay bills (I'm bitch in this scenario).

"Now that being said, if I'm spiraling particularly hard emotionally, that's a little bit more difficult. Most of the time it's one of those 'the right words said by the right person at the right time' kind of deals. Try not to take it personally if you can't pull me out of one of those; the mind is a complex instrument and we're all just playing by ear."

Aigead had some particularly bad days, specifically following the events of Endwalker, which you can read about here:

To Face Oblivion (All alone, Aigead gets some encouragement from within whether she wants to hear it or not)
Lead Me to Somewhere Far Away (Aigead has some complex methods for dealing with her emotions and should probably see a therapist)
Nashu Mhakaracca in: The Case of the Bundled Bunny (Nashu's got fresh intel for Aigead, but Aigead's having kind of a rough one)
We See Today, What We Couldn't See (Still dealing with some existential concerns, Aigead gets encouragement from an unexpected source)

I have, at this point, written or started writing about 66 individual works of fiction detailing the life and times of Aigead Siorc. A majority of these were written as a part of the FFXIVWrite events in 2022 and 2023.

As a little side project, I decided to see if I could put these stories together in a rough timeline covering the events of Aigead Siorc's life(/lives) over the course of The Canon We Know Of.

Thankfully a fair number of these stories cover actual events in the game, making them easy to place in the timeline. Others are entirely original stories but include references to specific events and characters that thankfully allow me to put them into relevant time periods. Others don't have any of that, but I'm able to more or less figure things out all the same. Oh, and then there's the, like, three stories that take place in entirely separate canons, so that's fun.

Currently, only one of these stories (The Serpent Betrayed by the Stars) is unfinished. It's sort of an alternate "bad end" fic so its presence isn't entirely necessary for understanding Aigead's tale, but I do plan to hopefully finish it as the concept is one I really like

The full list is below with links to each fic, BIG spoilers if you haven't played up through at least 6.4. Also I might swap some of them around if I think about it and realize they work better in different spots.
