if a cohost global feed makes the site too much like twitter (a take that i do not even remotely agree with after spending twelve shit years over there) and we may as well stay there if we want that
then it is completely reasonable to argue that splitting up the site into tiny little groups based on interest will just turn it into reddit or something (i did spend ten minutes trying to find an old website i posted on that was basically discrete forums 2.0 but no luck)
