All this talk of not putting your eggs in one basket has me thinking about posting my art to another site. In my case, it'd be more for backing up things (but now I have an external drive, so even that isn't a huge concern now).

I've never been comfortable making money from my art (you'll even see that I got rid of all the kofi links, though the account is still up because it just won't let me delete it) so I don't need to constantly be reaching out for a bigger audience. I've tried a lot of different sites, trying to find my little home and I feel as if Cohost is it.

I've also never had a huge following, so it's easy for me to wipe an account and be on my way. Maybe it's all these things that make it easier for me to stay in one place at a time.

I guess at the least, I could make my own website. There's also Pillowfort, which I left because they were taking a while to get any sort of organization features. They seem to have something in the works now, though. Artfol is another option, but it feels too... clean? If that makes sense? Not in a corporate way, but in a... semi-professional way? Something about it just makes it feel like my art wouldn't get too much notice there. ArtSpacious isn't on life support, but it's gotten close a few times. They seem dedicated to getting this thing off the ground though, so I'm here for it.

I understand the merits of being in more than one place when it's for your business or hobby turned job. I imagine if you don't chat on discord or something similar, then having a second place to meet up with other online friends would be important, too. But maybe for the rest of us, having one house is okay? I don't really know, to be honest.
