Asks Are Open.

When you don't have a large audience, it can be hard to find motivation to make art. You sort of have to push yourself to create and post into the void. At the same time, it's sort of freeing. As far as I know, no one in sitting on the edge of their seat waiting for the next issue of SPITE or the next Fake Band Logo, so, like a True Boss Monster, I can do what I want. Without the expectations, you can take your time. It's a good time to experiment and see what you like working on and want to focus on. It's also a good time to practice and build up a sort of timeline. It's sort of fun to look at old art and cringe a little and then look at newer stuff and be pleased at the process.

Having silly dreams is fun too. I'd love for SPITE to become huge enough to piss off Ken Penders (if you know, you know). I'd love to work on the IDW run of Sonic one day, even if I draw sonic furries way off model, lol. I have a little list of goals, but it's mostly just finishing backlogs of stuff. Backlog of my personal library, Minecraft projects, making a bunch of crochet things to get rid of all the yarn I've accumulated over the years. I have Absurd Dreams for my art, but nothing more grounded other than Finish the Project. Perhaps it's time to set some new goals that are actually reachable, ha ha. I think for a long time I've just wanted to get better at what I do. I'm not sure what better looks like for me? I'm still bouncing around on my actual "style" whatever that is. I'm still figuring out how not to make such messy comic pages. I know I have a way to go and hopefully one day I'll realize when I get there. I think I'm on the way, though. Sometimes I sit back and think "yeah, I like this." I think that's a good first step.
