Yesterday was the Canadian holy day of "Civic Holiday" so I didn't do any work (technically, but not really). So here's a new GCD review to make up for it. It's about one of my favourite games that I don't shut up about.

I still think Metal Slug X is the best (the first game isn't as smooth when spraying the heavy machine gun and I'm a big fan of the Mars People). Played X enough to do a no hit run before. I don't think any run n gun has really came even in reaching distance of this series' crown.
Metal Slug 4 onwards... yeah not the best of times. 5 was cool with the soundtrack and the walker but the stupid slide (which was 90% done by accidnet and 100% got you killed) just sucked to the point I wish you could turn it off, and every enemy just being a reskin of past ones was kinda lazy.
6 was just kinda ugly and the bosses were stupidly unfair. 7 was just... okay (like maybe a bit worse than 4).
Metal Slug 3 (aka the original last one) was a good send off, but man - that last stage is like a game in itself.
