My granny lived in a small neighborhood within about a ten minutes' drive from DFW Airport for at least 45 years, plane noises became just as much background sound as leaves in the wind and chirping birds lol
I love looking out my window and watching flights on approach to SEA or BFI. I've thought about putting some sort of little screen by the window that tracks any flights on that path and shows what they are
Have you looked into rtl-sdr? You can receive the ADS-B out (or other fun stuff like ATC/pilot radio) and push the data into whatever you want, and the receiver is only like 20-30 bucks
Indeed, I've set up receivers at other houses, though I have yet to set one up here.
