i think that minecraft servers should be a basic human right. i should have the ability to spin up a shitty survival world for me and my buds whenever i want for free and with little to no effort. this is why I am running for the position of us press secretary

not quite the same thing but i DID find out recently there are minecraft mods that allow you to invite other people to your worlds with a single click. like literally instant click + join. for free. it's wild
also obviously it's not free but a small server is very cheap these days. i pay like six bucks a month for mine which is not nothing but split a few ways within a friend group it's pretty manageable
"essential" is one, it also adds a few other features including paid cosmetics so if you don't like that there's also the option of e4mc which does the same thing but with less frills. i've only tested the former though
