Seeing musicians start to adopt AI art for cover art makes me so sad. Album art's a real part of the music for me; even something slapped together out of stock art feels like it's got more effort to me than something AI-generated that my eyes just slides off. Don't want to see that in my library.
Yeah this is something that would make me instantly want to not buy an album. I’d rather have a plain cover with just text.
"I can't pay an artist!" well, drawing your album name in beach sand and snapping a quick photo as it starts to wash away is still free.
I wish I could say I'm surprised artists will disrespect other artists' work like that, but... I'm not really.
Honestly I don't understand how you can be a musician and not value the effort that goes into making other people's art.
