In ancient history of nearly ten years back, I backed a space sim game called Elite: Dangerous on kickstarter, to the tune of earning a beta key too.
Some years later I ended up in a player group called Communism Interstellar, which was devoted to studying the background simulation and finding legitimate, but efficient ways of tipping it in our favor (of building sphere of communist government-controlled star systems).
Then came the Dangerous Games that was a big community race hosted by Frontier to get a player-created Power into the Powerplay metagame of theirs. Communism Interstellar banded together with few other groups, like Dukes and Mercs of Mikunn, The Winged Hussars and other smaller groups. But that was drop in the pool against the likes of Something Awful-backed GalCop and russian EG Union, of whom the latter won and their Yuri Grom became the first and last player power to join Powerplay.
Since then I've nearly entirely dropped out of playing the game as the Thargoid War plotline does not interest me and the BGS game got ruined by botters which Frontier does not want to do anything about due to the way the game's netcode is handled. Nothing like turning the game into a pay-to-win with lone bot lord being able to upend hundreds of players' years of work for a laugh.
Anyway. The pictures themselves, the shooting star was one of my proposals for the Border Coalition logo (Frontier took another design and butchered it with basic game assets). The other one was my own personal forum signature, first attempt at Inkblot vector drawing for my pilot's background. Look up Alkaid system's configuration and you'll see it.
