Watching this get made has been an absolute joy. The selective outlining you've done on Sonia's hair and internal lines looks great. How do you feel about working with Aseprite and pixel art now that you've had some time to get comfortable with it?
I am slowly getting comfortable with it! Aseprite was a bit scary at first but now it is pretty fun. Do you prefer Aseprite to other pixel art programs?
My relationship with Aseprite is mixed. I dislike the presentation and theming of the program, but I can't argue with results; Aseprite has the most convenient tools available at the most managable level of difficulty to learn of all the pixel tools I use; it has a reasonable interface (unlike ProMotion NG), it isn't Software As A Service (like Photoshop and Clip) and is reliable (unlike Pix2D, especially on Android), so it's worthwhile to invest time into learning.
I still miss Graphics Gale, but Aseprite is more readily updated, so I can rely on it for now.
