(This is part 2 to my previous ask, very important!) Do you think it’s ever possible for Jill to be seen as her own character? Not to discredit your involvement, but to disconnect her from her toxic roots? Especially since we can’t use the queen. I’ve seen lots of fanart and maintained a thread of dozens of pieces of it throughout this last week or so, and I just don’t know if I can feel comfortable continuing without knowing if JUST Jill is okay to spread around? I don’t exactly know what I’m trying to say in all honesty, I’ve been extremely stressed thinking about how to handle all of this and if anything I’ve said came off as rude or abrasive I really didn’t mean for it. Please send me an ask with your response, I don’t think cohost has private messaging?

maybe making something about jill breaking away from her shitty relationship (without showing the queen would be tricky)
the other thing that bothers me is like james harvey put a lot of work into that character design, like its pretty much his character, but he gets no credit for it. AA just wanted bomb jack as a sturdy dyke (me). i guess anna techincally designed jill and HJ designed the queen and thats why ppl cant use her
itd be cool to repurpose the character but as it stands this resurgence is just giving the designer clout without context, and i mean its my biggest wish that she says something about how the relationship wasnt healthy and shouldnt be emulated. the power to change the narrative is in her hands since she has her name on the project
yes that game is specifically about me, and the horribly toxic dynamic i had with the person who made it. on the surface it seems really fun and cute and i mean superficially it was, but she never used my real name in our relationship (she only called me slut, ever) , not even in front of our families or professional peers (shed just avoid using it in work situations which was always really fucking awkward) it made it really easy for her to erase my existence from everything i collaborated with her on, but whatever. theres other stuff that was awful too but im not into blowing up personal shit online anymore, plus it was over a decade ago. its fine.
