Probably my favorite song from the album that isn't a battle theme :) It's just so beautiful. The Distant Worlds version is really good too. FFVIII is one of the few FF games I never finished, but it had a huge impact on my life. As weird as it might sound, could very well be the reason I have a girlfriend.

One of the pieces in FF8 that made me scramble for some sheet music (Liberi Fatali included of course) back in high school. This Distant Worlds version is awesome but I think it captures the essence better when played on a lone instrument.
The piano collection version is also really good :) I don't think I ever tried to learn either liberi fatali or fisherman's horizon on piano, but I did a neat version of Balamb Garden for a friend.
Liberi Fatali is kinda a mess but I can do a pretty mean Fisherman's Horizon cover. FF8 Piano Collection is just, even without the heaps of nostalgia I have for it, that game being my first FF ever
I've played only the initial bits of VIII like, 20 years ago, but wasn't feeling it :/
I think I've stopped right after a robotic boss at an island or something like that
