This song goes back to 2002 or so (this is the 2018 version from Ad Lib Vol. 5). Written using my old process of playing piano until something "sticks", and this song really stuck with me. It was written for a small game project that never got released. I still think I wrote my best music back when I used a piano to find the songs. But I do have some good "direct from the mind" stuff of recent days.
I've probably mentioned this before, but I feel the need to really dig deep into this topic, as it is the reason I am able to post here today. Last year during the video game awards, they were giving out Steam Decks every minute. I entered the comp and watched the show, hoping for the slim chance of winning one.
From the album "Ascension", released in 2021. The first track of the album. Ascension was one of my best attempts at an album like "Alphadeus". A personal album that dealt with certain thoughts and feelings I had. Although halfway through, I decided to use some preexisting songs (remade of course except for Moon Dancer).
I guess I messed up the math when I figured this was my 70th album release. What I do is count the total albums and minus three it (2 EPs, 1 Single). But I forget there's a really old album called "Blue Coin Mix" that isn't really available anymore. I can't upload it because I don't have the original wavs (Bandcamp won't accept mp3s to my knowledge, albums must be full quality or lossless FLAC I think).
This album called "Alphadeus" is a very personal album with songs that try to deal with aspects of my mind and things that affect me, like say, pills. There are 11 tracks, free to download.
I might write up a full "thought process" post soon. Not sure if I want to or need to. The 1,000th song "Information Overload" is on this album. I hope you enjoy it. I might take a break, I released 9 albums this year (1 was music from 2022). Pretty sure that's a new record.
