What's up puppyyyy, did you get back to the car with your trolley and have a little fright when it open up and someone stepped out? So wrapped up in a being super responsible and getting diapers all yourself that you "forgot" about your caretaker who confidently walks up and praises you for being so good before checking your diaper and bustling you into the car-seat as they load your new stash into the trunk.

I think the length is perfect. Any longer does seem to dissuade people (in my experience), yes.
I really like it! A fun short story, feels like a good length. And you're certainly a good writer!
