Had another quarterly all associates meeting today and our GM would've been better off just going up in front of everyone and shoving his whole foot in his mouth.
When asked about appropriate compensation and how it affects morale, his response was, "This is America. You don't have to work here."

Pulling the employee who asked about it into the GM's office and forbidding him from talking about morale with anyone. This is definitely a solid plan with no consequences.
