Not being on Twitter anymore really has really changed my life for the positive in a bunch of small ways. For example now when I see someone say or do something wack I just say "that's crazy. You sound like you're 12 years old" and move on with my day
I'm still in recovery so my drafts folder has about 80 different instances of times I heard someone say something extremely annoying, then before hitting post thought, "was this a remarkable event that we need to have a public discussion about"
no joke? getting banned last june was, in retrospect, the beginning to a new & better chapter in my life
I was just thinking an hour ago or so that Twitter’s slow collapse is directly responsible for me showing up here (as I consciously abandoned Twitter) and gosh that was a positive trade
there is like a recognizable language and thought process that is not of the real world and i am very happy to be shaking it off
