I'm considering two opposite approaches to this, for a hypothetical guy flying somewhere to stay for like a week:

  • Rich Guy
    • Simply buy everything needed on arrival and leave it behind when you fly back
  • Dirt Guy
    • Simply wears the same clothes constantly and never does any hygiene and has no medical needs whatsoever. He carries his wallet and nothing

third option

  • Washing Machine Guy
    • Loves using the washing machine; doesn't mine standing in front of it, naked, for over an hour

standing nude in the laundromat guy

waiting for his load of one (1) jeans, one (1) shirt, one (1) underwear, and one (1) sock to finish washing. silently locking eyes with every patron who comes in

You're forgetting the other option:
Guy who's wearing everything for the trip.

It's all layered. He's even get earphones and headphones both on. He's carrying a laptop in one hand and tablet in the other, trailing cables behind.

if you can Dirt Guy your way onto a cheap Spirit flight it feels like you're cheating the system. I did this one time and flew from Houston to Atlanta for fifty usd. but I wasn't actually staying for long at all so I just put a single change of clothes into a tiny backpack
