always, always have at least a basic palette of an OC's colors and ref images that aren't horribly compressed when you're getting art commissions, you save the artist SO much guesswork, especially if you're gonna be particular about them. Literal MSpaint doodles is fine, but save that sucker as a PNG, save both them and yourself, I'm begging

the primary ref sheet i use for railkou has every single color in a circle off to the side labeled with the hex code and I can't understate how many times its helped ME with the colors and i have the high res pngs
