Devs please stop using closed platforms (Discord) as the sole way to access news, updates and troubleshooting for your product

Digital Rights Management. It's how companies control what you can and can't do with the software you bought. It is very bad; always best to get DRM-free versions of software so you remain unrestricted in its use.
