sometimes i feel like im missing the "writer brain" or whatever you'd call it that lets me think about my characters deeply. they have personality traits and stuff but i struggle to commit to anything deeper than that. i've been playing ss14 lately and roleplaying for the first time in my life and i still just don't really have that ability to go beyond just playing myself with one extra trait. i'm sure it's just a skill i have to train

god, amen. the depth to so many characters in that server is mind boggling and i can't help but feel like i'm out of my depths when interacting with characters that feel like they've had a Lot More Thought put into them than mine.
yeah, it's scary... i think i do okay but i definitely feel out of place sometimes
